Christin Hänsel

Project Manager in Ulm, Germany

My name is Christin Hänsel, I am 28 and living in Ulm. I am a Project Manager at Max ASP.

Before I joined Max ASP as a Trading Floor Executive in May 2005 I studied Business Administration at the FH Neu-Ulm.  My focus was on the Marketing and Sales area, where I made my first experiences of working live in a six months internship at an automotive company in the USA.

My first two projects at Max ASP were setting appointments for Field Sales Representatives in the HR Software market and then for an ATM Service Provider.  In my last project I was working with an international medical product manufacturer where I had full revenue responsibility jointly with my Field Sales colleague.  Together we found new potential customers and we also won previous customers back.

Being on the telephone for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week is very demanding. You cannot just call a shop owner and sell something. The key thing was having a great relationship with my Field Sales people from my client, being and acting like one team, understanding customer needs and having one common goal.

In October 2007 I became a Project Manager, managing 4 client projects.  I am responsible for ensuring the project objectives of my clients are met. I plan, control and monitor project performance.  The biggest challenge is to manage and direct the assigned project resources to best meet the project objectives. The experiences I have made on the phone have helped me a lot in this position, as I understand key performance metrics and know what is achievable and what can be done better.

Working in Max ASP is amazing. It is a place with so many different personalities and nationalities, with one and the same target: to be successful and grow. When I started, we were a team of 8 people on 4 projects, now - three years later - we are over 30 people on 2 continents. To see the Max ASP team now makes me proud of what we have achieved so far and I look forward to the future.
